Theory/Culture Assistant Prof. Position–Sept 15 deadline (Colorado Boulder)

Theory and Culture: University of Colorado. The Department of Sociology at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor with expertise in both social theory and culture. The applicant will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and conduct research in both of these areas, with priority given to candidates who have teaching experience in theory and who can complement the department’s other areas of expertise, which include gender, race and ethnicity, inequality and power, crime and deviance, population and health, and environmental sociology. The appointment will begin August of 2016 and applicants must have a PhD in sociology or comparable field by the time of the appointment.
